Some things onlysurvive as a picture.

A post gets deleted and the screenshot is all that is left. Upload it and it goes on the chain, where it stops being a file somebody can lose. Have the address instead? Paste it on the front page and the site takes the picture itself.

What this proves, and what it doesn’t

The chain gets a fingerprint of your image. Anybody can check it and see the picture has not been altered since the moment you uploaded it. That is real and it is permanent.

It does not prove the picture is true. A screenshot you upload can be faked, so a coin made from one is labelled unverified everywhere it appears, and it is never scored against a price feed.

If you have the address, paste it on the front page instead. A post is fetched from X and timestamped from its own id; a page is read and photographed by this site’s own browser. Both are worth more than a picture somebody sends.

Uploading publishes something nobody can delete, so it goes out under a name. Prove your X account and the upload box appears.
